Patricia Pearson is an award-winning novelist and journalist whose books include the critically acclaimed memoir Brief History of Anxiety… Yours and Mine, assigned “major points for wit and flair” by the New York Times, and Opening Heaven’s Door, nominated for the B.C. National Book Award for literary non-fiction in 2014, and published in more than ten countries.
She has written extensively for newspapers and magazines, including the New Yorker, New York Times and the Guardian, and has been featured or interviewed on National Public Radio, the BBC, CNN and CBC, among others.
Patricia’s comic novel Playing House was shortlisted for the Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour, and adapted for television.Pearson has won several National Magazine Awards, as well as the Arthur Ellis award for best non-fiction crime book of 1998.
